Deacons Ministry

The Deacons Ministry is an essential part of Shalom Gospel Missionary Church. Deacons are servant leaders chosen to support the pastors and help the church family with love, humility, and faith. Their mission is to serve God by serving His people, following the example of Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve (Mark 10:45). They care for the physical and spiritual needs of the congregation, support worship services, and help the church grow in faith and unity.

Our Main Services:

• Caring for People: Visiting the sick, praying for those in need, and offering support to families.
• Preparing Holy Communion: Organizing and serving the Lord’s Table with respect and care.
• Collecting Tithes and Offerings: Gathering the 10% tithe and offerings to support church ministry and outreach.
• Supporting Worship Services: Welcoming members, keeping services organized, and assisting pastors during events.
• Helping in Church Activities: Assisting with baptisms, prayer meetings, Bible studies, and home fellowships.
• Community Outreach: Serving people in need and sharing the love of Christ through practical help.

Through these services, our deacons build a strong, caring, and united church family and help the mission of God grow in our community.

Children’s Ministry

Teaching kids about Jesus through songs, Bible stories, crafts, and interactive lessons.

Youth Ministry

Helping youth build strong faith, develop leadership, and make wise life choices through Bible study, music, and group discussions.

Women’s Ministry

Prayer, Bible study, and building strong Christian friendships among women.

Choir Ministry

Leading the church in praise and worship during services, conferences, and special events.
Includes vocalists, musicians, and sound team members.Practices weekly to prepare spiritual songs in Tigrigna, Amharic, and other languages. Supports the preaching of the Word by preparing hearts through music.Helps with worship nights, youth events, and outreach concerts.

Outreach Ministry

Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through evangelism, prayer, and practical help to newcomers, neighbors, and the community.
